Another cant-wait-for-it-to-release flick from the Yash Raj banner. So this time, is it their fault, or ours? Did we go expecting too much? But then surely, expecting some tashan wouldn’t be asking for too much.
The characters of the leads actors were brilliantly refreshing, if only the storyline had been that impressive. Yes, Tashan lacks a strong storyline and a necessary momentum to keep you glued to your seats. A few good laughs and there, thanks to the wonderful Anil Kapoor and Akhaye Kumar, and of course the smoulderingly good Kareena Kapoor, might just help save this movie. It definitely strikes gold when it comes a few bollywood essentials, packed with bollywood ishtyle hero fights and beautifully picturised songs. Undoubtedly, Kareena Kapoor is at her best and at her peak at this point. Saif Ali Khan is at his polished best, while the others are at their “desi” best. A definite blockbuster had these characters been put in a more well thought and carried out story. So leave your brains and expectations home, go for Bhaiya ji a.k.a Anil Kapoor and the sizzling Kareena, you might just enjoy yourself.
